Kirsty Erskine-Hill is a decorative artist based in the Cotswolds, creating joyful, hand-painted pieces for children and their spaces.

With a degree in Fine Art and a Master’s degree in Art Psychotherapy, Kirsty has spent much of her career working creatively with children. Her background in both art and child development continues to influence her work today, from her playful use of colour and pattern to her belief that the things surrounding children should feel imaginative, personal and full of character.

Kirsty’s designs are all created by hand in her Cotswolds studio, with inspiration often coming from everyday life – a favourite children’s book, a vintage textile, a detail spotted on a walk, or even a pattern on one of her children’s clothes. Her pieces are designed to bring colour, charm and a sense of fun to children’s bedrooms and family homes, while still feeling beautiful enough to sit happily within grown-up interiors.

After twenty years working across the art world, Kirsty now focuses exclusively on creating pieces for children, including her signature hand-painted name plaques alongside decorative pieces and designs for everyday childhood.

Having previously worked as an Art Psychotherapist, children’s mental health remains particularly important to Kirsty. Through selected product lines, she continues to support a children’s mental health charity where she previously worked as a therapist, recognising the invaluable role that creativity can play in supporting children’s emotional wellbeing.

At the heart of Kirsty’s work is a simple idea: that the everyday objects children grow up with can be beautiful, playful and meaningful – pieces made to be enjoyed now, treasured as they grow, and perhaps even kept long after childhood.
